Watering

Fill a clean vase with fresh water and place the gladiolus bouquet in it immediately after receiving it. Change the water every two days to keep the flowers fresh. Trim the stems by 1–2 inches each time you change the water to improve water absorption.

Temperature & Humidity

Gladiolus cut flowers thrive in cool temperatures between 13°C and 18°C (55°F–65°F). Keep them away from direct heat sources, air conditioners, and drafts. Maintain moderate humidity to prevent the blooms from drying out.

Vase Selection

Use a tall, sturdy vase that provides adequate support for the long stems. Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle before placing them in water, and remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline.

Display Location

Display your bouquet in a cool, shaded area with indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can shorten the vase life of the flowers.

Trimming & Maintenance

Remove any wilted or fading blooms as they appear. Re-trim the stems every few days at an angle to maximize water uptake and keep the bouquet looking fresh.

Handling with Care

Handle the bouquet gently to avoid damaging the delicate blooms. Keep the flowers away from ripening fruits and vegetables, as they release ethylene gas, which can speed up the aging process.
